Retail Customer Analytics

About the report

This report allows you to dig into the behaviour of customers of an online retailer.

Cohort analysis allows you to segment customers based on when they first bought from the retailer, and see how many customers remained after a set number of months. For each cohort, you can see how many remained over time, and what was the average spend per transaction for those remaining customers.

Smart Narratives are used in the tooltip to provide comparison between a cohort's first month and the current month, as well as how it compares to other cohorts at that point in their customer journey.

Customer retention measures show how many new customers bought per month, as well as the number of returning customers (customers who bought both last month and this month) and recovered customers (customers who had a break from buying but have returned for another purchase).

Spend analysis shows how the total spend and average spend per transaction vary over time. Average spending distribution shows a histogram of customers and their average monthly spend amounts.
